Important: The Dogtra GPS Fence is a containment and boundary-training system, not a live GPS tracking collar. It does not provide live location tracking of your dog.

The Dogtra GPS Fence allows you to establish virtual containment boundaries using the compatible smartphone app. Create a customized boundary based on the area where you want your dog to safely roam.

The system supports up to 30 custom boundaries, giving you flexibility to configure the containment area for your property.

Come Home Sequence

Dogtra’s Come Home Sequence is designed not only to discourage a dog from crossing the virtual boundary, but also to help guide them back toward their permitted area.

If your dog tests the boundary, the system initiates its programmed warning and correction sequence. A return reminder tone helps reinforce the behavior of returning to the designated area.

Proper boundary training is essential for your dog to understand what these signals mean.

Tone, Vibration & Static Stimulation

Different dogs respond to different types of cues.

The Dogtra GPS Fence provides:

Always follow Dogtra’s training instructions and begin with the least stimulation necessary for your dog to respond appropriately.

App Required for Setup—Not for Everyday Operation

A compatible smartphone and the Dogtra app are required during initial system setup.

Once the fence and collar have been configured, however, the collar can continue operating independently without the app nearby.

This distinction is important:

Within Bluetooth range:
Your phone can communicate with the system for applicable alerts and updates.

Outside Bluetooth range:
You will not receive app alerts, but the collar’s containment function continues to operate.

Bluetooth communication range is approximately 33 feet.

Not a Live GPS Tracking Collar

Although this system uses GPS technology to establish its virtual boundaries, it is important to understand what the Dogtra GPS Fence does—and does not—do.

The GPS Fence is designed for pet containment and boundary training.

It does not provide:

• Live GPS dog tracking
• Continuous remote location monitoring
• Long-range escape notifications
• Cellular tracking
• Subscription-based location services

If your primary goal is to see your dog’s location remotely after they leave your property, this is not a replacement for a dedicated GPS tracking collar.

No Monthly Subscription

Because the Dogtra GPS Fence does not rely on a cellular tracking subscription, there are no monthly service fees.

After purchasing and setting up the system, you can continue using the containment features without paying an ongoing monthly subscription.

Expandable for Multiple Dogs

Have more than one dog?

The system can be expanded to accommodate up to three dogs.

A separate compatible GPS Fence collar is required for each additional dog.

Each dog should be individually introduced to and trained on the containment system according to Dogtra’s instructions.

IPX9K Waterproof Collar

Dogs don’t always stay clean and dry.

The GPS Fence collar carries an IPX9K waterproof rating, helping prepare it for everyday outdoor use and wet conditions.

Rechargeable Battery

The collar uses a rechargeable battery, eliminating the need to continually purchase disposable replacement batteries.

A compatible charging cable is included with the system.

The Dogtra GPS Fence should not simply be placed on a dog and expected to provide immediate containment. Your dog needs to be properly introduced to the boundary and trained to understand the system’s warning and return cues.
