A: This is only given 1 time. Worming is recommended twice a year for prevention.

We got a kitten and she had worms present on her bum when we held her she left worms behind on our clothes. We gave her a half tablet as she was 2.14lbs my question is, does this wormer kill the worms or purge them? Also how long will it take to work totally. We don’t want to hold her until we know they won’t get on us. How long until they will all be dead or purged and when should we retreat to kill the hatched eggs before they start laying more eggs?

The vanilla added to the dewormer is brilliant. My cats don’t hate me when I deworm them with this. Here’s a breakdown for how each worm is dealt with by this dewormer: PRAZIQUANTEL is effective only against Tapeworm in cats (can sometimes be seen around the anus of the cat appearing as white rice; when these dry on surfaces they take on the appearance of sesame seeds). Praziquantel kills Tapeworm by causing severe muscle contractions, resulting in paralysis. This paralysis causes the worms to become dislodged from the intestinal wall. The dead or disintegrated Tapeworms are typically digested by the host’s digestive system. Whole tapeworms are rarely passed in the stool; instead, only fragments may be observed. PYRANTEL PAMOATE: Kills Roundworms and Hookworms in cats by causing paralysis and death. This allows the worms to be expelled from the cat’s body through feces. The worms are dead when they are expelled.
