How to Help Your Dogs Allergies

Do you know the symptoms of seasonal allergies in dogs? Review the list below, if your pet suffers from any of these aliments it could be a sign they are affected by allergies. There are several ways you can try to help you dogs seasonal allergies.
- Scratching and biting skin & or fur
- Red, inflamed, or infected skin
- Extreme shedding
- Excessive paw licking in dogs
- Boot scoots or licks their anal glands
- Chronic ear infections
Before attempting to treat your pet for allergies, you’ll want to be sure to rule out other possible reasons that could be contributing to your pets itchy symptoms. Other contributing factors could be fleas, mites or dry skin. The following list of symptoms can be the result of allergies, but can also be caused by other things as well. If unsure, it’s always best to get a diagnosis and direction from a veterinarian.
What You Can Do
Unfortunately, there is no cure for seasonal allergies in dogs and similar to us humans, a one-size fits all approach doesn’t exist. However, there are options for calming your dogs symptoms and offering them comfort when experiencing the nuisance of seasonal allergies.
