Dogs instinctively nest. They seek sheltered places, mark their territory to ward off interlopers, and dig shallow beds in the ground so as to keep warmer at night. Your pup retains some of that instinct. Trouble is, he’s not living in the wild. He’s likely living in your living room! And you don’t want him pawing at the furniture or trying to dig himself a little spot of refuge in your carpet or hiding away in the entertainment center!
