Replacement Carbon Brushes for Metro Air Force Commander. The carbon brush is approx. 2.5 cm (1”) long and should be replaced when it reaches 0.5 cm (1/4”). Once a year depending on use.

How to Use

Unplug your Air Force Dryer
Remove the blower and end cap by removing the 2 to 4 Phillip head screws normally found on all air force, commander and top gun dryers.
After removing the blow end cap, the top of the motor with carbon brushes on either side will be exposed. (In some models the brushes are housed in black plastic boxes)
With a 1/4″ nut driver, remove the black hex shaped screws.
With needle nose pliers carefully diconnect the copper quick connect from the sides of each of the carbon brushes.
Hold the carbon brush between thumb and index finger and gently rotate 1/4 turn counter clockwise and remove carbon brush.
To install new set, repeat the above steps from 6 to 1.
